A St. of X trained administrator with over 30 years of diverse experience in business and communications. Bob worked in Ottawa for many years prior to returning to Cape Breton in 1996. Bob has undertaken numerous projects as a consultant and project manager. Bob owned and operated small businesses, worked in sales and once served as an aide to a former Deputy Prime Minister of Canada. Bob also played central roles in many high-profile national and international gatherings involving the participation of world and business leaders. Bob's work has taken him to all regions and territories of Canada. Bob has gained expertise in business development, strategic planning, events management, logistics, marketing, public affairs, and media and international relations. In recent years, has devoted considerable energy to community economic and tourism development. Bob is the author of a labour force market study for the region and he has ongoing involvement in Ingonish Landing -- a waterfront/marina project. In summertime, he operates a popular eatery on the Beach in Ingonish. Bob sees terrific opportunities in all that Cape Breton has to offer. His family has called the Island home for generations and he has intimate knowledge of the land, the people, their culture and history.
